Erin & Mike's Wedding

2nd May 2026

The Venue

The Alnwick Garden

The ceremony and reception will both be taking place in the Pavilion. Guests can arrive from 12.30pm for the ceremony at 1pm.

Parking is available free of charge in the accessible car park at the main entrance for the duration of the wedding. Cars need to be collected by mid-morning the following day (Sunday 3rd).

The grounds of the garden are beautiful and in early May there may still be some cherry orchard blossom out, although the peak time for blooming will have passed.

The gardens are open to the public during the majority of our wedding day and, being a bank holiday Saturday, it will probably be busy! Once the public depart (5 - 6pm) the gardens will be private for our use.

the morning after

Wandering to Dunstanburgh

We love the Northumberland coastline and, of course, sea air is famously good for clearing a hangover! We’re therefore planning a short walk to Dunstanburgh castle (probably a circular walk, approximately 1 hour long) and we’d love for you and your families to join us.

Having spoken to many of our friends about their wedding experience, one thing that’s been said time and time again is that spending time with guests on the wedding day is difficult; everyone seems to wish they had longer to chat! So we’d love a walk, a natter, and a hot brew, with some scenery and seagulls along the way.

We’re hoping to head out from Craster car park mid-morning. We haven’t definitely decided on the final details so if you’re thinking of joining us please check back here closer to the time.

UPDATE: We're meeting at Craster Quarry car park at 11am. It's Pay & Display parking and there's usually plenty of space. Word of warning though, phone signal isnt great so if you're running late just head for the coast and hopefully you can catch us up! The walk up to the castle and back takes about an hour (we're not planning to go in) then we'll head to The Jolly Fisherman for a drink and/or lunch afterwards.
